Curtis Bowman is an innovator, artist, writer, teacher, mentor and youth advocate living in Dayton, OH. A passionate campaigner for social justice, Curtis believes in the power of the arts to effect change through personal transformation. In support of this belief, she has developed and acquired funding for arts programs for inner city youth, organized and run youth programs that combine stem and arts curricula, and assisted non-profit organizations with funding development for programs that target at-risk youth and domestic and sexual abuse survivors. In addition to nearly 20 years of service and leadership in the non-profit community as a grant writer and fundraiser, Curtis provides hands on youth mentoring as a volunteer with The Boy Scouts of America, The Girl Scouts, First Robotics, and Ohio 4H. Curtis is thrilled to serve Artists United through the U.S. Program Committee, and committed to introducing all the Dayton arts community to Artists United.
